Wrong IVR Platform by Unifun: Transforming “Wrong Calls” into New Ad Opportunities for Econet!

On 18 September 2023 Unifun successfully launched the Wrong IVR Advertising platform in collaboration with Econet Lesotho.

Wrong IVR Advertising platform represents an innovative voice advertising tool that monetizes calls to unused IVR short codes that are mistakenly made by Subscribers. Instead of standard notification on “wrong dialed number”, Wrong IVR plays Subscribers various promotional offers.

If Subscriber is interested in activating a promoted subscription, he just needs to press the required digit announced in the advertising prompt. Activation simplicity increases response rate up to 5%.

Wrong IVR Advertising already provides Econet with the possibility to extend traditional boundaries of promotion. Any VAS or Core service can be promoted through the platform at the Operator’s option.

To ensure that each Subscriber receives only attractive promo-offers, Unifun has developed a smart targeting system by various criteria (example by Customer’s balance).
