Orange Centrafrique is the second largest mobile carrier operating in Central African Republic since December 2009. The company is a subsidiary of French operator Orange S.A.
The company operates 2G GSM services over the 900 and 1800 MHz bands, and launched 3G UMTS over the B1 (2100 MHz) band in 2013. Orange also provides WiMAX services in some regions.
According to the Agence de Régulation des Télécommunications, as of 30 September 2010, the operator covers 38 localities. At the end of 2012, Orange was the second mobile operator in the country after Télécel. The service covers 51 localities with 81 sites. At end 2014, Orange Centrafrique had a distribution network comprising 5 branches (3 in Bangui, 1 in Berbérati and 1 in Bouar, 1 in Bambari).
